What is Naturalization?

Attain Permanent Residence in the U.S.

All applicants for naturalization must meet certain eligibility requirements. Applicants who are 18 or over must have been a legal permanent resident of the United States for the previous 5 years (less if married to a U.S. citizen or served in the military) and possess a green card. If you have not yet attained permanent residence, or do not possess a green card, we can help you to get to that point. An applicant must show good moral character during the 5 years before applying for citizenship. If you have any criminal convictions it is essential that you disclose them. We understand the temptation to try and keep them hidden, but we assure you that they will be discovered and the consequences of falsifying a naturalization application will be far worse. Lying proves one is not of good moral character and your application will be denied. An attorney from our firm can help you understand how your criminal record may affect your status and your application. There are steps you can take that may help lessen the consequences.

On your application you will need to declare that you are willing to support the Constitution of the United States. You must be able to read, write and speak English as well as have an understanding of American history and government. Our team of attorneys support immigrants who wish to be become naturalized and can provide you with the knowledge and understanding you need.
